DANFOSS BIM TOOL EMPOWERS HVAC INDUSTRY TO UNLOCK THE POTENTIAL OF BIM
BIM is digitalizing the way buildings and HVAC projects within are designed, constructed, and operated.
Danfoss announces the release of its brand new BIM Tool, a software service solution that empowers our customers and stakeholders to leverage Building Information Modeling (BIM) to enhance project efficiency and collaboration.
By integrating BIM Tool into their workflows, HVAC professionals can unlock a range of benefits, including:
- Streamlined Collaboration: Utilizing the latest Danfoss BIM models enhances communication and coordination among teams and stakeholders.
- Improved Efficiency: Accurate Danfoss BIM models automate design tasks and streamline project planning, leading to significant time and cost savings.
- Informed Decision-Making: Access to product data enhances building performance analysis, enabling optimized energy consumption and informed decision-making.
- Risk Reduction: Leveraging digital twins of products identifies issues early, minimizing rework and construction delays.
Cooperation with BIM experts
Developed in cooperation with some expert customers, the Danfoss BIM Tool has been refined through extensive beta testing. It now contains a majority of our Hydronic HVAC product portfolio and will be expanded regularly. We also included popular 'assembly products' BIM files, such as control valves and actuators merged into one assembly, to meet the preferences of MEP (Mechanical Electrical Plumbing) designers.
The BIM Tool offers two convenient ways to use it:
1. Plug-in Solution for Revit Users:
Developed in cooperation with some expert customers, the Danfoss BIM Tool has been refined through extensive beta testing. It now contains a majority of our Hydronic HVAC product portfolio and will be expanded regularly. We also included popular 'assembly products' BIM files, such as control valves and actuators merged into one assembly, to meet the preferences of MEP (Mechanical Electrical Plumbing) designers.
The BIM Tool offers two convenient ways to use it:

- Add BIM Tool to your Revit environment
- Find Danfoss products directly within Revit
- Drag and drop products into your BIM project file
- Intelligent filters between BIM tool and Revit
- Create Danfoss bill of quantity by one click
This can only be used by Revit software (the most commonly used BIM software globally) users.
2. Stand-alone Solution for all Users:

- Easily find Danfoss products in the tool
- Select the preferred or required version of the product
- Download the CAD/BIM file and/or corresponding technical datasheet.
This can be used by anybody, no special software is needed.
