The transition away from natural gas in multi-family residences and hospitals has long been hindered by the need for very high water temperatures. The CAHV addresses this directly, utilizing R454C refrigerant to deliver outlet water temperatures up to 165°F (74°C). By using a refrigerant with low Global Warming Potential (GWP), the system not only slashes carbon emissions from operation but also minimizes the environmental impact of the refrigerant itself.
Scalability is the core strength of the CAHV's design. While a single unit provides a nominal capacity of 136,480 BTU/H, up to 16 units can be grouped together to meet the massive demands of hotels or factories. To ensure these units don't wear out unevenly, METUS integrated an intelligent rotation function that balances run hours across the entire group, while grooved piping connections simplify the installation process for contractors in both new builds and retrofits.
Beyond raw power, the ecodan®Pro line is built for long-term reliability in varying climates. It features advanced anti-freeze protection and a wide operating temperature range, ensuring that hospitals and dormitories have dependable hot water even in cold snaps. With multiple operational modes, including an "Eco" setting that resets based on outdoor air temperature, the CAHV allows building owners to prioritize either maximum capacity or peak energy efficiency, future-proofing their facilities against rising energy costs and tightening emissions regulations.
