Danfoss has introduced the AK-CC25 Pro, a new controller within its ADAP-KOOL® portfolio designed for modern commercial refrigeration applications. The controller targets plug-in, integral, and remote TXV refrigerated display cases and is intended for both new installations and retrofit projects.
The primary technical advance is the integration of built-in Bluetooth®, enabling wireless commissioning, configuration, and monitoring via the AK-CC Connect app, KoolProg, and KoolKey. This removes the need for external communication accessories and simplifies on-site setup and service workflows.
From a hardware perspective, the AK-CC25 Pro consolidates multiple use cases into a single controller variant. It supports medium- and low-temperature operation, dual compressor or circuit configurations, flexible I/O assignment, and broad sensor compatibility. The controller is approved for use with CO₂ as well as A3 and A2L flammable refrigerants, reducing controller variants and simplifying spare parts and inventory management.
The controller supports modulating temperature control and variable-speed compressors, enabling tighter temperature regulation and improved energy efficiency. Additional diagnostic functions and condenser monitoring are designed to reduce downtime and support predictive maintenance. The system is also designed to meet HACCP requirements, addressing food safety and compliance needs in retail refrigeration.
Building on more than 35 years of ADAP-KOOL® development, the AK-CC25 Pro incorporates advanced safety monitoring, protective functions, and fault diagnostics to ensure reliable operation in demanding refrigeration environments.
