ComAp Announces InteliGen 500 G2 PV Control Upgrade

The latest upgrade designed for paralleling control units, opens up new possibilities for small hybrid microgrid (HMG) sites. It can now manage all energy assets within a microgrid, including gensets, utility incomers, and photovoltaic (PV) inverters.

• Cost savings - a great amount of power required to supply the whole facility might be ‘replaced’ by cheaper solar energy, which in turn means significant savings in fuel consumption and cost.
• Single controller solution - only one generator controller can handle all the assets and no other control devices are needed.
• Import/Export controlo - it is possible to limit the grid export to zero, or let the excess power be exported while gaining revenues.
• Seamless integration - thanks to the integrated Modbus Client function and predefined PV inverter templates, solar integration can be established easily and with minimal effort.
• Optimal genset performance - the genset will always run at the given minimal load to avoid underloading and increase its life span.
• Thanks to its extensive set of PLC blocks, a fully adjustable 5-inch colour screen, and overall flexibility in configuration, the control unit allows customers to meet various requirements for hybrid solutions, in addition to its built-in functions.
