Terabee presents its new people occupancy counter with multi-zone coverage
Terabee, has announced its new People Occupancy Counting solution which provides accurate multi-zone occupancy data to maximize the management of meeting rooms through to large spaces.
Complementary to the people flow counting (People Counting L-XL and People Counting M 2.0), Terabee has designed and manufactured an occupancy counting solution, to accurately detect and count individuals in any environment at any time.
The device, which uses the latest thermal technology, is being showcased in a live demonstration at the French smart building show, Salon IBS (Intelligent Building Systems), in Paris 17 and 18 October, 2023. Terabee with its demonstration of the new People Occupancy Counting device is on booth H17. Terabee will also be present at the Smart Buildings Show, at ExCeL London, on Wednesday 18 October and Thursday 19 October, 2023.
Thermal sensing advantages
By sensing hot points with very low resolution images, Terabee People Occupancy Counting uses non-intrusive, anonymous thermal image data, so that personal identity can never be captured. This means that it is fully compliant with GDPR and privacy regulations. And since the device does not need ambient light for optimal performance, it’s suitable for applications with low-light and no light, without losing accuracy. The Terabee People Occupancy Counting device provides valuable, accurate occupancy insights to enable improvements in energy management, space utilization and trigger greater operations and services efficiency.
With the widest area coverage in its class and the latest thermal technology, the GDPR-compliant-by-design device is the ideal solution to monitor small spaces such as meeting rooms through to large spaces such as public buildings, open plan offices and coworking areas. Device installation
Terabee People Occupancy Counting is installed as simple as a household smoke alarm. For best performance, it should be placed centrally in the monitored room/area, better if not exposed directly to Infrared-reflective surfaces, such as large metal walls, which can act as mirrors.
