While switches and sockets used to serve purely functional purposes, today they are becoming an integral part of stylish interiors in trendy design looks. JUNG is going one step further and choosing colours, materials and designs that make switches a real eye-catcher in both minimalist and expressive interiors. With its own metal processing unit and completely in line with the company tradition, which has its origins in metal processing, high-quality switches made of real metals or with metal appearances set design highlights. Matt stained or lacquered aluminium, glass bead blasted stainless steel, brushed brass or chrome-plated metal - each day JUNG creates switches with a special metal look that are precision manufactured down to the finest detail. The innovative JUNG SCHUKO^® socket with USB connections and JUNG Quick Charge^® follows in this tradition.

Metalworking and craftsmanship
JUNG has been a pioneer in its field for 110 years. With its high precision, fine instinct and expert knowledge, the company has always developed and manufactured its products in Germany. It has special expertise in metal processing in particular. JUNG offers its switch designs in real metal, with frames and inserts also manufactured from the same material. This means that a separate tool is required for over 200 different products. The manufacturing processes for the USB metal sockets are precisely matched to the properties of the individual metals: With aluminium the covers are folded, with stainless steel they are deep drawn and shot peened, while brass is an alloy of copper and zinc. The 37% zinc content determines the golden yellow colour of the switch, which is hand-brushed with 240 grit. LS 990 in Dark is an aluminium switch painted in warm anthracite. Compared to the silvery-matt aluminium surface, the dark paint finish creates its own elegance. The JUNG SCHUKO^® sockets in bright chrome are coated with a 0.5µm thin chrome layer.

JUNG SCHUKO^® socket with USB ports: Elegant and multifunctional
The JUNG SCHUKO^® sockets with USB ports are space-saving and enable smartphones, tablets or smartwatches to be charged without a socket having to be occupied. They are the optimal 3-in-1 solution. With an electrical output of 18 watts, the JUNG Quick Charge^® model quickly recharges portable electronic devices. For example, an iPhone 11 is fully recharged in just 105 minutes. The SCHUKO^® sockets with JUNG Quick Charge^® have a connector with either USB type A or C. In addition to the models with the Quick Charge function, JUNG also offers SCHUKO sockets with two USB connections (type A and type C). The JUNG LS series includes matching frames. The JUNG SCHUKO^® socket outlets with USB connections made of real metal are "Made in Germany" and certified by the VDE (Association for Electrical, Electronic & Information Technologies).

Through a consistently harmonious internal design with real metal, the new USB socket variants expand the design possibilities.
