These days, motorised roller shutters are practically standard in new buildings. But what happens if the power fails in an emergency? Warema's SecuKit combines the standard motor and belt operating variants tried and tested in roller shutters and window awnings. This meets the requirements of the Landesbauordnung (building regulations for each German federal state), some of which require individual residential units to have an emergency operating procedure independent of the power supply.




Warema roller shutters and window awnings with SecuKit have a motorised drive. They can also be operated via smart control. Additional belt operation for emergency situations – which works independently of the power supply – is a particular asset. If the power goes out, the lowered blind can quickly be pulled up to ensure the escape route is clear. Using the belt does not affect the motor – it does not need to be reset and all settings are retained.

In normal daily operation, benefits include high-quality, convenient basic motorisation and (for roller shutters) torque monitoring and freezing protection, ensuring that operation is not restricted. The sun shading system’s movement behaviour remains the same even if SecuKit is installed, ensuring that it blends into the facade and all sun shading products can be raised and lowered in the same way. Even indoors, the belt fastening system remains unobtrusive as no additional belt winder is required. SecuKit has proved such a success that Warema has expanded the range to accommodate larger shading areas. It can be used for surfaces of up to five square metres for roller shutters and up to seven square metres for window awnings.

Security at the expense of design? Not with VisioNeo. This reliable and almost invisible fall protection is a stylish solution that replaces bars and railings on floor-to-ceiling windows. The glass holder is integrated into the guide rails of the sun shading system by Warema, making installation quick and easy. There are no visible screws to hamper the minimalist look. Even with the fall protection, external venetian blinds, roller shutters and window awnings with easyZIP guidance can be lowered to the ground in front of the window pane, providing thermal and glare protection as well as visual privacy.




VisioNeo can also be used for centrally positioned doors and permanent glazing. The middle rail creates many possibilities for smaller, individual areas or large, divided areas. It can also be combined with insect screens. The VisioNeo Single model can also be installed on northern facades, for example, without additional sun shading.
