As electric mobility becomes mainstream and energy-conversion systems grow more powerful and compact, the need for components capable of switching high loads within limited space is increasing rapidly. Finder’s Series 68 relays have been specifically developed for AC and DC electric-vehicle charging stations, photovoltaic inverters, industrial chargers and energy-storage solutions. Their design enhances reliability and energy efficiency while addressing the thermal and environmental constraints typical of these infrastructures.

A product range engineered for demanding environments
Designed for PCB mounting, Series 68 relays deliver high-power switching despite their minimal footprint. Their ability to operate up to 85 °C, combined with a robust construction fully developed and manufactured in Italy, makes them suitable for systems exposed to intensive load cycles or harsh ambient conditions. They also comply with key standards in the e-mobility sector and ensure long-term performance in critical equipment.

The 100 A Type 68.22 relay: a solution for high-power requirements
For charging infrastructures up to 55 kW and energy-generation or distribution systems requiring very high-capacity relays, Finder introduces the 68.22.9.xxx.4300 model. Equipped with two 100 A NO contacts and designed to switch up to 400/690 V AC, it reliably handles nominal loads up to 40,000 VA in AC7a. This version stands out through its reinforced insulation, a contact gap of at least 3.6 mm and an air-insulation distance of 8 mm, meeting the safety requirements of VDE 0126-1-1 and EN 62109-1. Despite its high performance, its coil holding power remains particularly low at just 0.7 W, making it suitable for applications where energy efficiency is essential.

Series 68 positions itself as a robust alternative to standard power relays on the market by combining high switching capacity, an extended temperature range, certification tailored to power-electronics applications and low energy consumption.
