Friga-Bohn unveils Nova cubic cooling unit, marking a new phase for the brand

The new-look Friga-Bohn is entering a new phase of evolution powered by ambition and creativity. Testament to this reimagined future - and the brand’s commitment to ongoing innovation in product efficiency and sustainability - is the new series of Nova cubic cooling units.

A replacement for the existing 3C-A series, Nova cubic evaporators feature the same dimensional envelope but use a larger diameter fan for improved ventilation and cooling performance. Available in 1-30 kW power output, the units offer compatibility with all refrigerants, including standard HFCs, A2L blends, natural CO2 and glycol water.

Defrost system redesign
A complete redesign of the defrosting system brings significant gains for end users that not only include higher efficiency and reliability, but also a reduction in defrost power consumption of up to 30%. The redesign sees the introduction of angled resistors for more effective defrosting of the expansion valve, distributor and manifold, while new W/m² distribution in the heat exchanger delivers even defrosting and limits vaporisation effects. Greater distance between the blades and shroud provides another advantage by reducing the risk of icing in negative applications.

An optimised coil design, high-efficiency motors and the ability to select an EC motor (optional) further support the energy efficiency of the new Friga-Bohn cubic evaporator units.

Easier connection access
Installers and maintainers are also set to benefit from the introduction of the Nova range with easier access to both electrical connections and individual components. In particular, the use of Wago terminals and cable identification makes for intuitive electrical connections.
