Lennox EVIO sets high benchmark in rooftop HVAC technology

The cost-effective, environmentally friendly and flexible Lennox EVIO takes the simplicity and efficiency of rooftop HVAC systems to new heights. This groundbreaking air-cooled unit represents an environmentally friendly solution that will deliver years of energy-efficient performance. Among many types of commercial buildings able to benefit are shopping centres, supermarkets, restaurants, and logistics and storage facilities.

EVIO gets the green light
A notable advantage of EVIO is its seasonal energy efficiency in heating (ɳsH) of up to 168% and in cooling (ɳsC) of up to 207%. EVIO rooftop systems therefore far outperform the requirements of the European Ecodesign Directive, which sets out a Seasonal Coefficient of Performance [SCOP] of 125% and a Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio [SEER] of 138%.

The up to A+ energy-efficiency class of EVIO for both heating and cooling arrives courtesy of several prominent advances, including a new electronic expansion valve, a multi-scroll tandem compressor and EC fan motor technology for airflow control. EVIO also houses a new hydrophilic-treated coil that helps deliver a significant increase in seasonal efficiencies in cooling (SEER) and heating (SCOP) modes.
Further supporting EVIO’s low carbon footprint, which is validated by the internationally recognised PEP ecopassport^® scheme, is the system’s use of R32 refrigerant. This low-charge refrigerant, with its low Global Warming Potential (GWP) and absence of PFAS, is safe for both the environment and people.

Benefits in full flow
The flexibility that this high-performance modular product provides between airflow range and thermal capacity ensures a wide range of building types and applications can benefit from EVIO. Key advances include an improved airflow supply of up to 50 000 m³/h, extended outdoor operating limits from -20°C to +52°C, and enhanced thermal and acoustic insulation.




A modern user interface provides optimal comfort at the touch of a button. New options available for the eCLIMATIC controller include a 7-inch multi-unit touchscreen and a web-based Human-Machine Interface (HMI) for easy commissioning, technical assistance and maintenance support.

Customers can select cooling and heating capacities from 25 to 250 kW. To suit individual applications, the Lennox EVIO includes various circuit/battery types based on different combinations of compressors and indoor/outdoor fans.
