KONE to equip Citymark Center in Shenzhen, China

KONE Corporation, a global leader in the elevator and escalator industry, has won an order to deliver 52 KONE elevators and escalators, 12 KONE turnstiles and the KONE Destination Control System to the Citymark Center, a new office building in Shenzhen. Located in southeast China's Guangdong province, the city is one of the most important economic and financial centers in the region.

Designed primarily as an exclusive office estate, Citymark Center will also host commercial, residential and entertainment facilities. When completed, the 70-floor-tower will reach a height of 388 meters. This unique building will become the tallest landmark in northeast Shenzhen.

KONE's delivery includes 39 KONE MiniSpace elevators, which can travel at speeds of up to 8 meters per second as well as five KONE MonoSpace^® elevators and eight KONE TravelMaster escalators. In addition, the building will be equipped with 12 KONE KT 100 turnstiles and the KONE Destination Control System to enable smooth people flow and premium user experiences for visitors and tenants. The contract also includes the KONE E-link equipment monitoring system and two years of standard maintenance.

The building is estimated to be topped-out by the end of 2021. The project is developed by Guangdong Citymark Real Estate Co., Ltd.

KONE booked the order in the third quarter of 2020.
